Eleanor Bouquet is a rustic dried flower bouquet handcrafted in our Hampshire studio — protea cynaroides, burnt orange broom bloom, burgundy lagurus, red thistles, and bleached grass arranged into a warm, autumnal piece with genuine botanical depth.
The palette runs through deep burgundy, burnt orange, and natural neutral. The protea cynaroides (king protea) anchors the arrangement — a large, structured bloom that smaller flowers build around. Broom bloom (Genista) fills in with fine-textured warmth; burgundy lagurus adds softness alongside the thistles’ architectural precision. Each stem contributes something distinct.
Eleanor suits autumn and winter interiors. It works on a mantelpiece, a dining table, or a wide window ledge from October through to early spring. It makes a memorable seasonal gift — it has genuine botanical character and the kind of presence that develops as you spend time with it.
What’s Inside
A dried king protea sits at the heart of this bouquet, its amber-tan bracts and burgundy edges impossible to miss. Burnt orange broom bloom surrounds it with dense, fiery colour, while deep burgundy bunny tails and red thistle heads push the moody warmth even further. Bleached pale ivory grass lightens the edges and keeps the whole thing from feeling heavy.
Broom Bloom (Genista / Cytisus), Bleached Grass (Avena sativa / Lagurus ovatus), King Protea (Protea cynaroides), Red Thistle (Carduus / Cirsium), Burgundy Bunny Tails (Lagurus ovatus).
Care Tips
The dried stems carry a faint, earthy scent when you first unwrap them. Keep away from direct sunlight and moisture — a well-ventilated room suits them well. No water needed. Dust occasionally with a soft brush. With minimal care, these arrangements last for years.
