Poppy Bud Vase is a small dried flower arrangement in warm yellow and peach tones — dried poppy heads, statice, wheat, protea, thistle, lagurus and pampas, hand-arranged in a ceramic bud vase in our Hampshire studio.
Dried poppy heads are distinctive: after the petals fall, the seed head remains — rounded, ribbed and sculptural, with a character entirely different from a conventional flower. Protea adds a wider, dramatic form at the centre. Statice and wheat fill in with colour and warmth; thistle adds structure; lagurus and pampas soften the edges. Each time you look, a different element catches the eye first.
Poppy works on a desk, a kitchen windowsill, or as part of a shelf arrangement. A genuinely distinctive gift — the botanical variety and warm, autumnal palette make it a stronger choice than a conventional small bouquet.
What’s Inside
Seven botanicals in one bud vase, each earning its place. Sculptural dried poppy seed heads bring an almost architectural quality at the centre, flanked by the wide, textured form of a protea bloom. Dusty pink statice and golden dried wheat layer in warmth and colour, while spiky globe thistle adds cool structure. Soft cream lagurus and feathery pampas round out the arrangement with gentle, grassy movement at the edges — a surprising amount of depth for something this compact.
